Mirpur: In the 1st ODI between Bangladesh and India held at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur held on December 04, 2022, Bangladesh beat India by 1 wicket in a nail biting match. Of the 3 matches ODI series, Bangladesh lead the series by 1-0.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field offering batting to India. Team India batting lineup started collapsing early, middle order KL Rahul alone crossed 50+ runs scoring 73 with a partnership support from Shreyas Iyer who managed to score 24 runs.

Rohit is the another batsmen who scored 27 runs. Rest of all other batsmen could not score considerable runs making India settle at a very low total of 186 runs losing all the wickets. However, in the chasing Bangladesh batsmen Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan managed good partnership and won the match with 1 wicket losing 9 wickets in short intervals.

Mehidy Hasan who got life after KL Rahul dropped his catch utilised it and made Bangladesh to win with 1 wicket with the support of Mustafizu Rehman at the end. Bangaldesh beat India by 1 wicket and 24 balls to spare leading the series 1-0.

Win of the match has been passing between two teams and in the nail biting situation, Bangladesh managed to chase the low score of 186 set by India. Mehidy Hasan has been named Player of the match for his performance in tough situation. 2nd ODI will be played on 7th December in the same venue.
