Asia Cup Indian Squad announced under Rohit Captaincy

Mumbai: on Monday, BCCI announced India squad for the upcoming Asia Cup which will be held in the UAE starting from August 27. For the Squad, Rohit Sharma will act as Captain, and Ex-Captain Virat Kohli is back in the game after a short break. Indian Chief pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been kept out of the game due to his recent wound.

At the same time, KL Rahul has been brought back into the squad. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are the two wicket-keeping choices in the squad of 15 members. Three expert spinners are important for the crew which includes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja are the two all-rounders selected in the squad. Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav are the two additional batting choices.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will drive the Pace attack in the absence of Bumrah along with adolescents Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh gathering in the crew. “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked India’s crew for the impending Asia Cup 2022 to be played from 27th August to eleventh September 2022.
