Dubai: Team India remains unbeaten in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after a convincing 44-run victory over New Zealand, securing their spot at the top of the group table.

With this win, India has advanced to the semifinals and will face Australia on March 4th.

In this match, India posted a total of 249 runs in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 79 runs, while Hardik Pandya contributed 45 and Axar Patel added 42.

Matt Henry was the standout bowler for New Zealand, taking 5 wickets, but the rest of the bowlers were unable to provide much support.

When New Zealand began their chase, their batting line-up fell short.

Kane Williamson (81) showed resilience, but he had little support from the other batsmen.

Varun Chakravarthy starred with the ball, taking 5 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav claimed 2 wickets.

New Zealand was all out for 205 runs in 45.3 overs, falling short of the target. India’s spinners controlled the game, ensuring a comprehensive victory.

Looking ahead, Team India will be aiming for an even stronger performance in their semifinal clash with Australia.

The race for a place in the final is heating up. Meanwhile, New Zealand will square off against South Africa in the other semifinal.
