Paris: The second day of the Paris Paralympics 2024 became a landmark for India, marking it as the most successful day with a total of four medals where Avani Lekhata Wins Gold.
India secured three medals in shooting and one in athletics on Day 2.
In the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 Final, Avani Lekhara clinched the gold medal, while Mona Agarwal shined with a bronze.
Avani Lekhara made history as the first Indian woman to win two Paralympic gold medals. Following her, shooter Manish Narwal secured a silver medal in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol (SH1) Final.
Meanwhile, sprinter Preeti Pal won a bronze medal in the Women’s 100m T35 Final, becoming the first Indian sprinter to win a medal at the Paralympics.
