Paris: A new day brings India fresh hopes today at the Olympics 2024, especially after the disappointment of Lakshya Sen and the skeet mixed team’s fourth-place finish.

Tuesday holds significant promise with several key events lined up. The Indian men’s hockey team faces Germany with the aim of qualifying for the final.

Celebrated wrestler Vinesh Phogat is also set to compete, adding to the anticipation. However, the spotlight will undoubtedly be on Neeraj Chopra, the historic gold medalist in javelin throw from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Since his Olympic triumph, Neeraj has continued to shine, winning the World Championship, Asian Games, and Diamond League finals.

On Tuesday, he will begin his much-anticipated campaign in Qualification Group B at 3:20 PM IST. Additionally, Asian Games silver medallist Kishore Kumar Jena will aim to secure his spot in the final in the Men’s Javelin Throw Qualification Group A at 1:50 PM IST.

The day kicks off with the men’s table tennis team, featuring Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar, and Achanta Sharath Kamal, competing in the Quarterfinals of the Men’s Team Competition.

Other significant events include Kiran Pahal in the Women’s 400m repechage at 2:50 PM IST, and the Men’s Table Tennis Team facing China in the pre-quarterfinals at 1:30 PM IST.

Vinesh Phogat will also battle Japan’s Yui Susaki in the Women’s 50kg Round of 16 at 2:30 PM IST. This action-packed day holds much promise for India’s Olympic campaign.
