Winning the toss in the T20 WC 2024 Finals, India chose to bat. But due to early fall of wickets, India was in defense until Virat and Axar Patel partnership build the score for India. Later, Virat and Shivam Dube continued the momentum and made a score of 176.

While chasing South Africa lose early wickets, but in the middle Decock, Stubs, Klaasen and Miller made efforts to reach South Africa till 169. However, India Pace bowlers, Bumrah, Pandya and Arsha deep took wickets in crucial time and made India Champions of the World.

Virat announces his retirement from T20 Internationals after the victory over South Africa to win T20 WC 2024. He wants to give chance to next generation and announcing retirement from T20 Internationals.
