Perth: India vs Australia: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli’s centuries, coupled with Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional bowling, led India to a commanding 295-run victory over Australia in the first Test of the five-match series.

Chasing a target of 534 runs, Australia struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 238.

For India, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah each claimed three wickets, while Washington Sundar contributed with two crucial scalps.

On the Australian side, Travis Head stood out with an impressive knock of 89 runs, while Mitchell Marsh added 47 and Alex Carey chipped in with 36 runs.

In India’s innings, Jaiswal delivered a stellar performance, scoring 161 runs, while Virat Kohli marked a memorable milestone with his 30th Test century.

With this victory, India secured a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
