Pallakele: India clinched victory in the first T20 against Sri Lanka, taking a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series India beat Srilanka.

Batting first, India posted a massive score thanks to aggressive play by the openers. They ended their innings at 213/7, setting a target of 214 for Sri Lanka.

In India’s batting lineup, captain Suryakumar Yadav played a captain’s knock with a half-century (58). Rishabh Pant scored 49, Yashasvi Jaiswal 40, and Shubman Gill 34, contributing to the big total.

Sri Lanka’s openers gave a solid start to the chase. However, from a position of 140/2, they were all out for 170.

Among the Lankan batsmen, Pathum Nissanka scored 79 and Kusal Mendis 45. The rest failed to make significant contributions.

For India, Riyan Parag took 3 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was named Player of the Match.
