New Delhi: After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, AAP Minister Atishi will assume the responsibilities of the Chief Minister.

This decision was made in a meeting of AAP legislators. AAP leader Dilip Pandey proposed that the choice of the Chief Ministerial candidate be left to Kejriwal.

When Kejriwal proposed Atishi’s name, all AAP legislators agreed. Currently overseeing the Education and Public Works Departments, Atishi played a key role in bringing revolutionary changes to the Delhi school education system.

She assumed the ministerial position after Manish Sisodia’s arrest in 2020. On August 15, Kejriwal gave Atishi the opportunity to hoist the national flag.

However, Lieutenant Governor Saxena intervened. It is clear that AAP leadership has confidence in Atishi.

Two days ago, Kejriwal announced his resignation. He is demanding elections in November, stating that power will be taken based on the people’s verdict.
