New Delhi: The BCCI has announced India’s cricket squad for the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

The series is starting from November 22 in Perth, Australia.

The vice-captain for the team is Jasprit Bumrah under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

Notably, veteran pacer Mohammed Shami is out due to an injury for Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

In his absence, young pacer Harshit Rana has earned a debut call-up.

Along with him, fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Reddy has also been included.

Domestic cricket star Abhimanyu Easwaran joins the lineup, while Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel will serve as wicketkeepers.

India’s top-order is solid, featuring Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli.

KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan bolstering the middle order for the team.

Besides Bumrah and Rana, the pace attack includes Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, and Prasidh Krishna.

The spin department will be led by three all-rounders: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar.

However, left-arm spinner Axar Patel is not part of this squad.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav is unavailable due to a chronic left groin issue.

He will undergo treatment at the BCCI Centre of Excellence after the current Test series against New Zealand.

Three reserve pacers—Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, and Khaleel Ahmed—have also been named to support the main squad.

Following the conclusion of their 3-match Test series against New Zealand, India will gear up for the 5-match Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia, kicking off on November 22 in Perth.
