Paris: At the Paris Paralympics 2024, India’s Nishad Kumar clinched the silver medal in the Men’s High Jump T47 event.

Having also earned a silver in Tokyo three years ago, Nishad achieved his best performance of the season with a jump of 2.04 meters.

Earlier, Preethi Pal made a mark by winning a bronze medal in the Women’s 200m T35 final.

In badminton, Nitesh Kumar and Suhas Yathiraj are guaranteed to secure at least silver medals after advancing to the finals in the Men’s SL3 and Men’s SL4 categories, respectively.

Sukant Kadam, who lost in the semi-finals of the SL4 category to Suhas, will compete for the bronze medal.

Additionally, Thulasimathi Murugesan triumphed over Manisha Ramadass in the Women’s Singles SU5 semifinal.

Murugesan is assured of at least a silver medal, while Manisha will fight for the bronze. Overall, India has amassed seven medals so far at the Games.
