1 Year Maternity Leave in this state!
1-YEAR-MATERNITY-LEAVE-IN-THIS-STATE

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang announced on Wednesday that his government will provide 12 months of maternity leave and one month of paternity leave to its employees.

The benefit will help government employees take better care of their children and families. He said full details will be notified very soon. The Himalayan state has the lowest population in India at around 6.32 lakh.

Mr. Tamang said that the government officers are the backbone of the state administration, contributing significantly to the growth and development of Sikkim and its public.

He also said there has been a significant focus on streamlining the promotion process for civil services officers, leading to an increase in the number of promotions.

He added a heartfelt congratulations to all new IAS and SCS (Sikkim Civil Services) officers, and wished them well for a successful career in the state serving the society.
